What we're up to right now ....

TRANSITion: From fields to Ford and beyond.

We have just completed a 15-month community history project involving talented volunteers, from researchers to artists, in creating a pop-up museum exploring the industrial transformations of the former Ford site in Swaythling, Southampton. Those who wish to delve more deeply into the oral histories of ex-Ford employees and community elders can visit a new website launched as a legacy of this heritage lottery funded project.

Our projects past and present
Exploring the transport manfacturing history of the former Ford site in Southampton
Planes, helicopters and the iconic Transit van – one small site in Southampton has produced them all. Now, the factory is gone and a high-tech logistics park rises in its place bringing different kinds of jobs. This year-long heritage lottery funded project invited people to revisit the former 'Home of the Transit' and immerse themselves in the sights, sounds and voices of another age.

It’s not every day you get asked to make a ‘flash mob’ exploring the culture of philanthropy. We had great fun working with students from Solent University and Totton College creating a lively 8 minute piece exploring the stories of some of Britain’s greatest givers.

In the Spring and Summer of 2012, we worked with a group of visually impaired students at a Hampshire School, supporting them to set up and present their own radio station.
